Be sure to take advantage of the Jepson Center for the Arts'free admission & activities - once per month on "Toddler Third Thursdays" or "First Saturdays for Kids" days! Also, don't forget that once per year - you can explore most of our area museums for free on Super Museum Sunday in February each year.
Statesboro, Georgia (40 minutes from Pooler) is home to Georgia Southern University. This small college town – surprisingly, has plenty of entertainment opportunities. There, you'll find the largest family water park in the region. On the Georgia Southern University campus, you'll find - a small native species wildlife zoo & a unique Natural History Museum. Being a college town, there are also plenty of popular bars and party spots... in "The Boro."
Pooler is home to the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. This is a very special experience for all (except perhaps, young children). The kids will be more interested in the Pooler Family Fun Park... with Miniature Golf, Go Carts Rides, a huge arcade room and other fun adventures – the kids will have a blast! This is also a great place for your child's next birthday party!..
New Restaurants continue to open off Hwy 80 and in Godley Station. From Steak Houses to Mexican cuisine -- Japanese (Sushi), Italian, Chinese, American, Sub Shops, Fast Food and an assortment of other ethnic dining establishments... are now calling Pooler home.
