DISCOVER the truth about our Federal Reserve system.
"Enjoy yourself -- it's later than you think." - Socrates
The Federal Reserve System is the central banking system of the United States. Although unconstitutional (it is a private corporation whose only stockholders are the member banks) it has survived unchallenged since its inception. Created in 1913 by the enactment of the [Fed Res Act], it is a congressionally authorized cartel (private entity with government components) banking system composed of the presidentially appointed Board of Governors of the Fed Res System in Washington, D.C.
This unconstitutional cartel consists of: The Federal Open Market Committee - 12 regional Fed Res Banks located in major cities throughout the nation acting as fiscal agents for the U.S. Treasury, each with its own nine-member board of directors - numerous private U.S. member banks, which subscribe to required amounts of non-transferable stock in their regional Fed Res Banks - and various advisory councils. As of February 1, 2006, Ben Bernanke serves as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Fed Res System.

"Some people think that the Federal Reserve Banks are United States Government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers; foreign and domestic speculators and swindlers; and rich and predatory money lenders."
~ The Honorable Louis McFadden, Chairman of the House Banking and Currency Committee in the 1930s
