Fine Arts in the Low Country

FAMOUS for fine arts, architectural design & creative minds - Pooler is your gateway to southern culture and all the Savannah / Hilton Head region has to offer.
"The object of art is to give life a shape." ~ William Shakespeare

Since 1978, the Savannah College of Art Design (SCAD) has had an undeniably positive impact on the region. SCAD is a private art school that offers fine art degrees and enrolls greater than 9,000 students from all 50 states and 100 countries. International student enrollment is 10-12 percent. In addition to their sprawling main campus in historic downtown Savannah, Georgia... the college has an Altanta campus and even offers a study-abroad campus in the scenic town of Lacoste, France.

Have you ever heard someone complain about being bored, nothing to do in the Savannah ~ Hilton Head region? These people simply haven't been informed of the many awesome & ever-changing local activities - just begging to be enjoyed. Beyond all the great "everyday" local activities... beaches, museums, galleries, shows, historic sites, concerts, etc. - nearly every weekend the region plays host to large special events and festivals. "The finest works of art are precious, among other reasons, because they make it possible for us to know, if only imperfectly and for a little while, what it actually feels like to think subtly and feel nobly." ~ Aldous Huxley

As an introduction to the history and fine arts of the region, we recommend taking a Savannah area tour - to see the area's Architecture, both Old and New!

Check out local galleries, get details about piano competitions & songwriting contests. Learn where to buy local paintings, or canvas prints - even research film grant possibilities.
