The Marine Reserves Unit that I served in was activated and deployed to Al Taqaddum, Iraq. My job supported flightline operations. Coordinated load plans for cargo and for the personnel traveling throughout Iraq, as well as preparing flight manifests for both. I was also selected to be a member of the HST(Helicopter Support Team) which conducted external lifts with multiple helicopters, including the CH46, CH53, and the V22 Osprey.

I was activated while serving in Savannah, GA atHunter Army Airfield in support of flightline operations for the Army. I also spent a large amount of time in Charleston, SC in support of port operations at the Naval Weapons station. While there, I was awarded the Army Achievement Medal for my accomplishments, which is highly unusual for a Marine to get.

Became certified as asbestos abatement and lead abatement supervisor. Removed or encapsulated asbestos and lead-basedpaint in many public buildings throughout NY state, as well as in all five boroughs in New York City, to include the Empire State Building. Conducted inspections and supervised a crew of abatement workers to meet the specifications designated by the EPA.

Had been drawing unemployment through NY state, but it was recently cut off. I'm currently an E-4 in Marine Corps Reserves. My EAS date is July, 2011.
