Responsible for loading and unloading scrap metal for railroad and over the road delivery. These duties include operating a front end loader, as well as a crane, a car crusher and shredder. Responsible for working with this equipment unsupervised while following strict safety procedures, loading, unloading, and crushing scrap while adhering to a time limit. Responsible for making sure the trucks get out on time and the loads are ready to go in a very fast paced environment. Additional responsibilities include some maintenance on these pieces of equipment as well as being able to differ between various types of ferris and non-ferris metals.
