Regional Wildlife Organizations
Natural Environment Resources

ENJOY discovering “informative, scientific, educational, fun & often motivating” regional wildlife organizations and other natural environment resources!

In researching regional wildlife organizations for Pooler-Georgia-HOMEPAGE, we were surprised by how few Websites exist that focus exclusively on Georgia wildlife conservation.

There are a bounty of resources on-line that focus on our personal pets and many which are politically motivated “animal rights” type sites. However, we quickly discoverd there are relatively few grass-roots regional wildlife organizations with Websites and even fewer “endangered species content” focused online resources.

If you’ve ever thought of building a Website, please consider building a site that informs the public about some endangered species or natural habitat. The World Wide Web is a fine tool for making money or driving poilitical change, but the “Net” should also be used as a tool to bring small, local wildlife issues to the world’s concerned spirits. Please, consider building your own regional wildlife organizations or natural environment conservation Website.

If you know of additional southeastern United States regional wildlife organizations or other nature focused Websites that bring Georgia wildlife conservation to the heart and minds of good people - who are willing to make a difference, please contact us with details.

Regional Wildlife Organizations & More
• A Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy for GeorgiaQuoted from Website - "Georgia is blessed with tremendous natural diversity. The largest state east of the Mississippi River, Georgia contains portions of five major physiographic provinces and a wide variety of habitats ranging from mountain peaks to underground caverns, from dry granite outcrops in the Piedmont to pitcherplant bogs in the Coastal Plain, and from headwater streams to the mouth of the mighty Altamaha River. This impressive environmental diversity supports an equally impressive diversity of native plants and animals. Conservation of this wildlife diversity is extremely important to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), its conservation partners, and the people of Georgia and is the goal of this Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation strategy."
