Play one of Pooler, Georgia's Championship Golf Courses. Crosswinds Golf Club is located at the airport, just east of I-95. It offers 27 holes of some of the area's best golf. Placing Pooler on the golfing world's map, our Greg Norman Signature Golf Course at Savannah Quarters, is an 18 hole - golfer's dream play. 5. Play Tennis (2 courts), disc golf (18 holes), dirt bike (6.5 miles), hike to an original Ogeechee Canal lock, boat, fish from bank, bridge or dock, cook and picnic, plan a meeting or party at the pavilion, go jogging on a lighted fitness trail or let the kids enjoy the playground. Play on one of four (4) lighted baseball diamonds, four (4) lighted basketball courts, or eight (8) tennis courts. You can walk or jog along a one (1) mile fitness trail, picnic under pine trees, enjoy the BMX bicycle track, or hike through a tree farm. Let your dog enjoy its own exercise area, plant a garden plot (free), go fishing, or enjoy boating the lake. Enjoy special events that include garden workshops, fishing contests, Easter festivals, and a Halloween haunted house. Where can all this fun be had? It's all @ Scott Stell Park, a 108 acre park on the south-west edge of Pooler.

Explore the Savannah – Ogeechee Canal Museum & Nature Trail. It's a museum & nature center featuring information and exhibits on Canal history, archeology, birding, and local attractions. They have over 2 miles of hiking trails from the Savannah – Ogeechee Canal Museum and Nature Center to the Ogeechee River. Trails include historic canal towpath and Locks, a river trail, Georgia wetland walks along boardwalks and Sandhill/Pine forest trails. The site has inclusion on the Coastal Birding Trail and there are many birding opportunities. The hiking trail goes from Tom Triplett Park to the Savannah – Ogeechee Canal near Lock 3. They offer guided tours, and host special events. Pavilion rental and picnic facilities are available. 8. Enjoy Bird and Wildlife Watching at the Savannah Airport Cypress-Tupelo Swamp Ponds. Several small ponds visible from roads within Savannah International Airport are probably the most reliable area in the state for viewing Glossy Ibises... and it takes only minutes to check. Key birds that frequent this area include: Glossy Ibis, Common Moorhen, Anhinga, and waders. Also (occasionally) view Eagles, Feral Hogs, Wild Turkeys and Alligators.
