Many of these “hard-to-find” sites were created out of someone’s enthusiasm for a particular animal kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus or species. Like Pooler-Georgia-HOMEPAGE, these sites often contain tidbits of valuable information, breath-taking images or products – that simply can’t be found on the major “wildlife station” type Websites.

Because the Internet is filled with large corporations trying to sell you mass produced products & services and generic wildlife data - these smaller “more personable” Websites - often won’t get high rankings at the search engines. This doesn’t mean the big guys deliver the specialized “niche” nature articles, research tips, creature habits or “one-of-a-kind” science facts you’re looking for - but it does mean you’re forced to look through dozens of search page results to find unique zoological information.
